Welcome to illifit! What better day to start a fitness blog than January 1st? Amiright? We are a community of ordinary people making extraordinary changes through fitness and healthy eating. Like all communities our stories define us. Here you will read real stories of people that have make changes to be healthier. Here you will find inspiration, encouragement, and truth. If you have made great changes we want to highlight your achievements and help you be an encouragement to others!
Here’s what you can expect from illifit:
Mondays – Contributors: Our amazing contributors are bloggers who want to share their journeys with you. They each will choose a goal and corresponding fitness or diet plan and then share with readers their successes and struggles share their journey with you in real time, for 3 months. (For a list of current contributors, please see our sidebar, for a list of all of our contributors, please click here.)
Wednesdays – Profiles: There are so many ordinary people making extra ordinary changes! This website was started because of the numerous inspiring stories of friends and family members who have made extraordinary changes through diet and exercise. Their stories inspire me to be healthy, and many of those stories will be represented here on illifit. If you have made extraordinary changes, please visit our Share Your Story and become an inspiration to others.
Fridays – April’s Journey: April is the creator of illifit. She has been eating Paleo and green juicing for one year. She is ready to take her fitness to the next level. This year she will be training for a 1/2 Marathon. Join her on Fridays as she discusses her training schedule, shares recipes, what she is learning, and probably a fair amount of complaining from this long time inactive woman. (April is also the author of illistyle.com, her blog where she shares original craft and DIY tutorials – it’s legit, check it out.)
The illifit website has been in the works for quite some time. A few weeks of dreaming, a few weeks of planning, a few weeks of coding, and a few weeks of hustle. That’s how a website gets made. That and the help of friends and an amazing IT guy (Love you husband!!!)
